Lear Supplier Sustainability – Minimum Requirements Update

September 10, 2024

New

Suppliers Bulletin

Dear Valued Supplier,

Thank you for your ongoing support in Lear’s sustainability initiative. As we advance our efforts, we have recently updated our Global Requirements and Code of Conduct for Suppliers. These updates include enhanced policies on “Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability” and “No Deforestation,” along with our Supplier Sustainability Minimum Requirements.

Launched in 2023, the Supplier Sustainability Minimum Requirements establish the baseline criteria that all suppliers must meet to ensure our operations align with sustainability principles. Suppliers are required to comply with Lear’s Supplier Sustainability Policy and to identify and address supply chain risks. To meet the minimum requirements, suppliers must have a Code of Conduct, Human Rights Policy, Environmental Sustainability Policy, and Health & Safety Policy, implemented at the site level. In addition, suppliers are required to have a Code of Conduct for Suppliers and a Responsible Materials Sourcing Policy, implemented at the company-wide level.

Lear selects suppliers carefully and fosters long-term relationships based on quality, delivery, price, governance, ethics, and sustainability. We continuously monitor and address sustainability risks in our global value chain, to support both customer and regulatory requirements. All suppliers will be assessed periodically to determine areas needing support and improvement. Please review the Lear Supplier Sustainability Minimum Requirements (attached to this bulletin) to ensure alignment and compliance.

For questions, you can send an email to sustainability@lear.com.

Thank you for your continued efforts.
