Lear Poland Sports Teams Support Open Heart Foundation
In Libiaż, Poland about 30 km (20 miles) from Lear Tychy, the Open Heart Foundation (Fundacja Otwartego Serca or FOS) dedicated to supporting youth development hosted its fifth annual charity football (soccer) tournament. Eight teams participated, including three from Lear Poland's Tychy JIT, Tychy Structures and Legnica Structures plants. The other competitors were teams from other corporations as well as local teams.
Tychy JIT won the tournament and Tychy Structures finished second. "This is great that Tychy team members for the fifth time took part to support a noble goal - collecting money for the Open Heart Foundation. First place is a great achievement but I know that for our players supporting local community is the main goal. Great job, team!' said Tomasz Cholda (Tychy JIT Plant Mgr.).
"Not only the competition was the most important, but the goal for which the money was collected. Thanks to the generosity of the teams and fans, we managed to collect 7,200 zloty ($1,900), which is, without any doubt, the greatest victory of the matches being played," said Grazyna Hajda (President – FOS) at the end of the tournament.
